Exhibitor E-News - May 27, 2021

The deadline for submitting the Exhibitor Badge Application Form and most of the other Order Forms is May 28, 2021. To avoid any unnecessary surcharge, please submit before deadline.

COVID-19 Test Negative Result Or Vaccination Record

In accordance with the latest requirements and guidelines of the HK Government and the HKCEC, exhibitors are required to take the following measures in the prevention of COVID-19:

All exhibitor staff and representatives who will be present on the show days (June 24-27, 2021) must take a polymerase chain reaction-based nucleic acid test for COVID-19 on or after June 14, 2021 (14 days before the last show day) and obtain a SMS notification containing a negative test result. As an alternative, a proof of a vaccination course completed before or on June  (14 days before the first show day). On exhibitor move-in day, exhibitor staff must present a negative test result or a vaccination record to the Organisers prior to collection of exhibitor badge and admission to the exhibition hall.     

 
The Organiser will keep all SMS notifications containing negative test result / vaccination records for 31 days and may share such data (including any additional identity verification data) as required by law or any lawful request of authorities for the purposes of Covid-19 contact tracing and prevention of crime. Exhibitors are also required to retain their own SMS notification containing a negative test result / vaccination records for 31 days. 
 
In addition, law enforcement officers may visit the Exhibition at any time to carry out spot checks. Any exhibitor staff who fail to comply with compulsory testing notices are committing an offence, which is subject to prosecution. 

COVID-19 Test negative result

The test must be conducted through one of the followings:


A. To obtain a deep throat saliva specimen collection pack from any of the designated post offices, vending machines set up at MTR stations or 47 designated general outpatient clinics (GOPCs) of the Hospital Authority (https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/early-testing.html);

B. To self-arrange testing provided by private laboratories which are recognised by the Department of Health and can issue SMS notifications in respect of test results  (https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/List_of_recognised_laboratories_RTPCR.pdf);

C. To attend any Community Testing Centres* (https://www.communitytest.gov.hk/en/);

D. To visit any mobile specimen collection stations (https://www.communitytest.gov.hk/en/station/)

*This fair has applied for Temporary Places of Public Entertainment License, exhibitors are eligible to free testing services provided at Community Testing Centres through “Community Testing Centre – Booking System”. Exhibitors shall indicate that they are under the category of “Scheduled Premises – Places of Public Entertainment” in order to receive free testing service.

Vaccination Record

For both the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine (CoronaVac vaccine) and Fosun Pharma/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty vaccine), completing the vaccination course in general involves receiving two doses 14 days ago. 

The latest date of completing the vaccination course for this fair is June 9, 2021.

The following types of vaccination records will be accepted as a proof:

A. Paper vaccination records;

B. Electronic vaccination records downloaded via the “iAM Smart” mobile app;

C. Electronic vaccination records downloaded via  the “eHealth” mobile app.

Gold or Gold alloy/ Platinum

It is required by the Trade Descriptions Ordinance that Articles of gold or gold alloy/ platinum or platinum alloy supplied in the course of trade or business at retail level must bear a mark indicating the fineness of gold/ platinum content in the form and manner specified. A retailer of articles of gold or gold alloy/ platinum or platinum alloy shall issue to a buyer at the time of supply, an invoice or receipt and retain a copy of that invoice/receipt for not less than 3 years from the date of issue. The invoice or receipt shall contain:
– the full name and address of the supplier;
– the price at which the article is supplied;
– the date of supply;
– the description;
– the fineness (where the article consists of different parts of different fineness of gold/platinum, the marks on each part); and
– the weight of the article (if the whole article is 足金 (Chuk Kam)/ 足白金 (Chuk Pak Kam));

A notice of not less than 210 mm x 297 mm specifying the legal requirements shall be displayed prominently at the point of supply.

Natural fei cui/ Diamond

According to the ordinance, a retailer of any article of natural fei cui / diamond shall issue to a buyer at the time of supply, an invoice or receipt and retain a copy of that invoice/receipt for not less than 3 years from the date of issue. The invoice or receipt shall contain:
– the full name and address of the supplier;
– the price of the article;
– the date of supply; and
– a description of the article as “natural fei cui plus other jade” or “natural fei cui” according to the definition in the Ordinance, OR the total weight of the diamond in carats or where the weight is unknown to the retailer, a statement to that effect; and a description of the article as
* being composed solely of diamond;
* being inlaid with diamond; or
* being inlaid with both diamond and other precious stones, as appropriate;

A notice of not less than 210 mm x 297 mm shall be displayed at the point of supply informing consumers the definitions of “fei cui” and “natural fei cui”/ “diamond” and the statutory requirements on retailers to issue invoices or receipts for the natural fei cui/ diamond articles supplied.
